What’s wrong with coffee-colored discharge and abdominal cramping?

A coffee-colored discharge is an abnormal uterine bleeding accompanied by lower abdominal cramping. In such cases, the possibility of pregnancy-related disorders should be investigated, and blood HCG and ultrasound tests should be performed to consider the possibility of ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, and other pregnancy-related disorders. After ruling out the possibility of these diseases, if there is still a small amount of coffee-colored vaginal discharge, the appropriate hysteroscopy should be performed. Hysteroscopy is performed to detect any abnormal growths in the uterine cavity, such as submucosal polyps, submucosal fibroids, or other abnormal growths. At the same time, hysteroscopic endometrial scraping should be performed, and according to the pathological results of the scraping, appropriate treatment should be given, either with appropriate medication or with subsequent surgery.
