There are more reasons for discharging large pieces of endometrium during menstruation, which may be caused by normal menstruation, excessive endometrial hyperplasia, insufficient secretion of fibrozyme, endometritis and so on.
1. Normal menstruation: if a woman does not conceive after ovulation, the estrogen and progesterone will retreat, the endometrium will lose its hormonal support and disintegrate and detach from the basal layer. The endometrial arteries will spasm and contract, resulting in ischemia and necrosis of blood vessel wall tissues, and the dislodged endometrium will be mixed with blood and flow out from the vagina, leading to menstruation. Therefore, in addition to blood, menstruation also includes the shedding of the endometrium.
2. Excessive endometrial hyperplasia: The endometrium is over-hyperplastic, the endometrium is thick, and a large piece of the endometrium mixes with the blood and flows out when it is shed.
3. Insufficient secretion of fibrozyme in the body: the endometrium in the secretion phase is not able to be dissolved, resulting in the shedding of large chunks of endometrium.
4. Endometritis: If there is endometritis, the endometrium will be congested and fragile, and it will be easy to shed large pieces of endometrium.
Occasional shedding of large pieces of endometrium during menstruation is generally normal. If accompanied by heavy menstrual flow, abdominal pain and other conditions, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, improve the relevant examination, under the guidance of a professional doctor to clarify whether there is a pathological condition, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
