What is aplastic anemia

  I. What is aplastic anemia? There are three types of cells in human blood: red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets, all of which are made by the bone marrow. When the bone marrow’s hematopoietic function is damaged, the hematopoietic function will be low and the number of these three cells in the blood will decrease. This type of anemia caused by low bone marrow hematopoiesis is called aplastic anemia. Aplastic anemia is divided into heavy and non-heavy. Second, the causes of aplastic anemia: Chemical toxins: benzene compounds, pesticides and heavy metals. Paint, glue, gasoline and organic solvents contain benzene compounds. Rays: X-rays, гays. Viral infections: hepatitis virus, microvirus B19, cytomegalovirus, etc. Drugs: chloramphenicol, flavamycin, etc. Third, the manifestation of aplastic anemia Anemia: dizziness, weakness, pale face, etc. Infection: fever, sore throat, cough, diarrhea, frequent urination, etc. Bleeding: skin bleeding spots, purpura, gum bleeding, nose bleeding, excessive menstruation, internal bleeding and intracranial bleeding in severe cases. Blood test: white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin and platelets are reduced. It takes about 3-6 months for the treatment of aplastic anemia to take effect and 1 year or more to achieve complete remission. Therefore, treatment should be patient and frequent drug changes should be avoided. Before the drug treatment can achieve significant effect, it is often necessary to transfuse red blood cells and platelets. Because of the low resistance of the patients with reoccurrence, they should avoid going to crowded places and colds. When platelets are too low, avoid straining to defecate to avoid intracranial hemorrhage. Patients with reoccurrence are prone to skin acne, beard growth in women and menstrual disorders when taking androgens, which will return to normal after stopping the drug. It is better to take cyclosporine with meals and send it down with juice. V. Prevention of aplastic anemia: Avoid exposure to toxins and rays, and strengthen occupational protection. Do not over-decorate the house, and the new house should be vacant and ventilated for 3-4 months before moving in. Avoid taking drugs at your own discretion. Strengthen physical exercise to prevent viral infection.
