Recuperation is required for about one month after the foramen ovale blockage, and strenuous activities need to be avoided for three months. The exact recuperation time is determined by the recovery status. Ovarian foramen occludens is mainly treated by interventional occlusion, which is less traumatic and usually can be discharged from the hospital in 2~3 days after the operation, and can be put into the normal life after about 20 days of recovery. However, it takes some time for the blocker to grow into the body after insertion. To minimize the risk of the blocker falling off, strenuous exercise should be avoided for 3 months after the foramen ovale closure. To avoid respiratory infections, it is necessary to keep warm and minimize the gathering of people. Dietary advice is to eat a high protein, high calorie and easily digestible diet to avoid constipation. If the patient has high blood pressure, the blood pressure should be controlled within the normal range. Abnormalities and discomfort should be reviewed promptly.
