Oral herpes can be divided into primary herpetic stomatitis, recurrent herpetic stomatitis, the patient does not have a fever does not mean that it is about to get well, it is likely to be a manifestation of the blistering stage, vesicular stage.
1. Primary herpetic stomatitis:
(1) prodromal stage: it can lead to fever, myalgia, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes under the neck and other symptoms, and after 1~2 days, the oral mucosa can be congested and red and swollen.
(2) Blister stage: some pinhead-sized blisters will appear on the oral mucosa, which are thin-walled, easy to break, and easy to form ulcers.
(3) Vesiculation: after the blisters burst, ulcers can be formed, and some scabs can also appear on the affected area.
(4) healing period: the vesicles gradually healed, recovery, the whole course of the disease often need 7 ~ 10 days.
2. Recurrent herpetic stomatitis: in the prodromal stage, symptoms such as malaise may appear, and blisters appear after a few hours, and gradually ulcerate and crust, the whole course of the disease usually takes about 10 days.
After the fever is gone, the patient should still actively go to the hospital and follow the doctor’s instructions for follow-up treatment.
