What’s wrong with sticky eyes and blurry vision?

Sticky eyes and blurred vision may be a result of increased eye secretions and conjunctivitis. Accompanying symptoms include marked conjunctival congestion and increased secretions at the conjunctival sac. During blinking, the secretions sometimes stick to the cornea, thus affecting the vision and causing blurred vision, but with a few more blinks or eye drops to flush the conjunctival sac, the vision can become clear. If there is no obvious discharge and the eyes simply feel sticky and blurry, cataracts are common in the elderly because the lens gradually degenerates and becomes cloudy, developing to a degree that obscures vision. Cataracts are diagnosed in the ophthalmology department and are treated with conservative medications in the early stages and require surgery when they have progressed to a certain level. If you have had keratitis in the past, the eye will feel sticky and have blurred vision when opacities form on the cornea, especially in the pupil area.
