Whether Kidney-Yang can be tonified if Cold-Dampness is not removed is determined by the patient’s symptoms. For example, for patients with Spleen-Kidney-Yang deficiency (deficiency of Yang in the Spleen and Kidneys) and Cold-Dampness stopping internally, Kidney-Yang can be tonified with Warmth (warming and replenishing Kidney-Yang). If cold-dampness is felt and the flow of qi and blood is blocked, with joint, tendon and bone pains as the common symptoms, warming and tonifying Kidney-Yang is not recommended at this time. If there is deficiency of Spleen and Kidney Yang and Cold and Dampness stops internally, with cold fear and cold limbs (fear of cold, cold limbs), abdominal pain and diarrhea, or swelling as the common symptoms. In this case, warming and tonifying Kidney-Yang can be used, while at the same time tonifying the Spleen should be taken into account. If you have any of the above discomforts, it is recommended that you seek medical treatment in a timely manner, and do not use the method of warming the Kidney-Yang on your own, so as not to cause or aggravate the discomforts by using the wrong method.
