What to do about oliguria

If the patient has oliguria, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time, after clarifying the cause of the disease, and then treat for the cause of the disease.
Normal adult urine volume is about 1,000 to 2,000 ml. Adults with a 24-hour urine volume of less than 400 ml or less than 17 ml per hour are called oliguric. The cause of oliguria can be physiological such as drinking too little water, sweating too much, etc., but also can be seen in pathological causes such as renal failure, urinary tract obstruction, acute nephritis, pyrexia, etc..
1. Physiological causes: if the patient drinks too little water or sweats too much, it can lead to oliguria, which can be relieved by rest and timely supplementation of water, and does not require special treatment.
2. Pathological causes: such as shock, renal failure, urinary tract obstruction, acute nephritis, pyrexia and other diseases can also lead to oliguria, which needs to be treated as soon as possible in the emergency department or nephrology department.
If the patient has oliguria, it is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time, complete the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and give targeted treatment or therapy under the guidance of the doctor.
