What is inhalational anesthesia for children

Inhalational anesthesia for children is a type of general anesthesia, which refers to the use of volatile anesthetics or anesthetic gases, which appear as anesthesia through the anesthetics entering the patient’s lungs and circulating repeatedly in the bloodstream.
Inhalation anesthesia is less harmful to children’s bodies, with less circulatory and respiratory effects and fewer side effects . Children who inhale the anesthetic gases or medications are able to breathe them out of their bodies.
At present, more children will choose inhalation anesthesia before surgery, the effect of the drug can be maintained for about 1~2 hours, will not cause damage to the child’s brain, so compared with other anesthesia methods, inhalation anesthesia can be preferred.
A small portion of inhalational anesthesia drugs may cause liver function impairment, increased intracranial pressure, irritability, etc.
