On the one hand, the risk of rupture of the mass due to continued development of the embryo is reduced, and on the other hand the reduced blood flow reduces the risk of heavy bleeding during the procedure. However, regardless of whether the blood flow signal is visible or not, it should be treated as soon as possible, and depending on the patient’s condition, it can be treated by surgery or medication. The main application of drug treatment is methotrexate, which is only suitable for the patients who have no contraindications to the use of this drug, and are in good general condition, with normal liver and renal functions and blood erythrocyte, leukocyte and platelet counts; there is no active intra-abdominal hemorrhage; the maximal diameter of the mass is <3cm, and the detection of the blood β-HCG is <2,000U/L, and there is no heartbeat of the embryo.
