Is profuse sweating a deficiency of the kidneys or the spleen?

Chinese medicine believes that a large amount of sweating is due to the imbalance of yin and yang, the coupling is not solid (often refers to the skin can not consolidate the sweat, the body surface sweating abnormally), resulting in abnormal sweat excretion. The diseased organs involve the liver, heart, spleen, stomach, lungs and kidneys. So it may be due to spleen deficiency or kidney deficiency, or other evidence types.
There are five types of Kidney deficiency in TCM diagnosis, namely Kidney Yang deficiency, Kidney Yin deficiency, Kidney essence deficiency, Kidney qi deficiency and Kidney non-containment of qi, of which Kidney Yin deficiency and Kidney non-containment of qi will have corresponding symptoms of sweating.
In Kidney Yin deficiency, symptoms of hot flashes and night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up) may occur due to internalized deficiency heat. When the kidneys do not contain qi, the lungs and kidneys are deficient in qi, and the guards are not strong, then spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by the slightest movement of sweating) occurs, and if yang qi is deficient and weakened and wants to be shed, then cold sweating may also occur.
If the patient is overworked or the spleen is deficient in transportation, it may cause insufficient qi and blood biochemistry, insufficient blood in the heart, the heart and spirit are floating, the heart fluid is not stored, so sweating, palpitations and less sleep; insufficient qi and blood, so fatigue (lack of mental energy), shortness of breath, and lack of splendor of the face, etc. The treatment of this disease is to use Gui Spleen Soup plus subtractions with the effect of nourishing the heart and replenishing the spleen.
Clinically, there are also cases of sweating caused by fire, dampness-heat, blood stasis and so on. If profuse sweating occurs, one should go to the hospital and seek medical help without delay.
