The best exercise period for knee adhesions consists of two stages, one is exercise when braking for six weeks, and the other is the best exercise period for surgical treatment for about three days after surgery, as follows: 1. When braking for six weeks: If the knee joint is formed by short-term braking after disease treatment, exercise should be performed immediately when braking for six weeks. As the adhesions have just formed, the patient’s active exercise will result in rapid release of the adhesions and a gradual recovery of the knee range of motion. 2. Three days after surgery: If the knee has had adhesions for a longer period of time, once diagnosed, active surgery should be performed to loosen the adhesions and restore the joint range of motion through arthroscopic surgery. Swelling and pain can be significantly reduced in about three days after surgery, and this is the best time to exercise. Through active flexion and extension training and cold compresses, most of the range of motion of the knee joint can be restored gradually. If the patient is able to adhere to rehabilitation, a full recovery is expected.
