In the anterior upper part of the skull, the frontal bone participates in forming the anterior wall of the cranial cavity and the upper wall of the orbit, containing a cavity called the frontal sinus. In the clinic surgery should try to avoid the frontal sinus, otherwise it is easy to cause infection. Secondly, attention should be paid to the frontal sinus orifice, which refers to the inner opening of the frontal sinus, above which is the frontal funnel, a narrow tube in the lower part of the frontal sinus toward the bottom of the inner opening of the frontal sinus. The portion of the frontal sinus below the frontal sinus opening is the nasofrontal duct, which is generic for the frontal sinus and the frontal fossa and refers to the portion of the frontal sinus that extends deeper into the nasal cavity. Therefore, the anatomical location is also of great concern in ENT surgery.
