Early Stroke Recognition

  When a stroke is suspected, you can observe yourself for a stroke in the order of eyes, mouth, hands, and feet: (1) symptoms that occur suddenly or disappear after a few minutes; (2) loss or blurring of vision in one or both eyes; (3) visual rotation or balance disturbance; (4) numbness on one side of the face or crookedness of the mouth; (5) slurred speech or difficulty understanding speech; (6) weakness, clumsiness, heaviness, or numbness in one limb (with or without the face); (7) severe headache, vomiting (6) weakness, clumsiness, heaviness, or numbness of one limb (with or without the face); (7) severe headache, vomiting.  If you have one or more of these symptoms, you may be considered to have had a stroke and should seek immediate medical attention.
