Can bunion pain get better on its own?

Bunion pain, depending on the cause, can improve on its own in some cases, while in others it does not improve on its own and requires intervention.
1. Conditions that can improve on their own
(1) Poorly fitted shoes: If you often wear high-heeled or pointy shoes, standing or walking for a long time with too much activity may cause pressure on your bunion, leading to bunion pain. Wear loose, soft-soled shoes and avoid standing or walking for long periods of time to relieve the pressure on the bunion and improve the pain.
(2) Strenuous exercise: Prolonged standing or walking, running and other strenuous exercise can lead to overloading of the feet, resulting in bunion pain, which can gradually improve on its own by resting and avoiding strenuous exercise.
2. Conditions that do not improve on their own
(1) Fracture: If the fracture is caused by trauma, sprain or bruise, the symptoms of bunion pain usually cannot be improved by themselves, and need to be treated by some means of intervention in order to get better.
(2) Joint inflammation: If the patient has joint inflammation such as gouty arthritis, tenosynovitis, bunions and other joint inflammation, which leads to symptoms of bunion pain, it usually cannot get better on its own either.
Bunion pain may also have other causes, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or treatment.
