The following are the clinical possibilities for bilateral ear blockage: 1. Cerumen embolism in both ears, which may be caused by water in the ear canal, such as water in both ears after swimming, and swelling of the earwax leading to increased ear blockage. It is recommended to go to the ear, nose and throat department and let the doctor remove the earwax with a suction device. 2. Bilateral secretory otitis media, mostly secondary to cold, rhinitis, sinusitis and other clinical manifestations such as fluid accumulation in the tympanic chambers of both ears, can be treated with antibiotics, oral solution and nasal spray hormone for a comprehensive symptomatic treatment. After about ten days or half a month of remission, the stuffy feeling in both ears can be relieved. 3. A few other diseases, such as binaural neurological deafness, may also cause ear blockage.
