Do you still need to do an abdominal ct after a gastroenteroscopy?

Whether or not to do abdominal CT after gastroenteroscopy should be decided according to the patient’s examination results.
Gastroenteroscopy is mainly to observe the mucosal changes in the intestinal and gastric cavities, such as polyps, tumors, ulcers, etc. Abdominal CT is mainly to check whether there are lesions in the submucosal layer, plasma membrane layer, and the parts outside the gastrointestinal cavity.
If the patient’s gastroenteroscopy found tumors, it is recommended to do abdominal CT after gastroenteroscopy to observe the extent of tumor invasion and whether metastasis occurs. If no obvious abnormality is found in gastroenteroscopy, the patient needs to combine with the characteristics of the medical history and other examination results to make an accurate judgment, and can decide whether to go on to the next examination according to the advice of the consulting doctor.
If the patient has doubts about the results of the examination, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time.
