The normal heart rate for adult women is between 60-100 beats/min. If a woman’s heart rate is 90 beats/min, it is within the high limit of normal and within the standard range. If it is after exercise, emotional stress, excitement, anxiety, or smoking, drinking alcohol, tea, coffee, etc., it can cause the heart rate to increase, and if this happens it is normal. If the heart rate goes to 90 beats per minute in the resting state, further close monitoring is needed. We can monitor the heart rate at different times in the morning when we wake up, at noon after meal and before going to bed. If the heart rate is at 90 beats/min, further screening can be done in the cardiology department to exclude anemia, hyperthyroidism, chronic infections, etc. If the heart rate is 90 beats per minute due to physiological factors, excluding pathological factors, the heart rate can be closely monitored on a regular basis.
