Is lymphoma leukemia?

In general, lymphoma is not leukemia, except small cell lymphoma, which is a different manifestation of the same disease as chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Lymphoma refers to malignant tumors of the lymphatic system, while leukemia refers to malignant tumors of the hematopoietic system, and belongs to two different diseases in essence. However, these two diseases overlap and intersect with each other, and some special types of lymphomas may show the same changes as leukemia. Because of the abnormalities of the blood system caused by the invasion of the bone marrow, leukemia can also cause enlargement and abnormalities of the lymph nodes when it involves the lymph nodes. Therefore, lymphoma and leukemia are not exactly the same, but only cross over and overlap. It is recommended to consult a doctor promptly if symptoms related to lymphoma and leukemia are present, so that the cause of the disease can be clarified with the help of the doctor and targeted treatment or therapy can be carried out.
