Lung blisters are irreversible lung lesions, the main factors affecting the prognosis of patients with lung blisters are the number of lung blisters, their size and whether they are accompanied by other lung diseases. Smaller lung blisters do not need any special treatment, while larger lung blisters need to be treated with surgery, and lung blisters do not usually affect life expectancy. 1. Smaller and fewer lung blisters may not have any symptoms and are mostly found incidentally during physical examination. Asymptomatic lung blisters found during examination generally do not require treatment. 2. If the lung blisters are large in size, complications such as spontaneous pneumothorax, spontaneous hemopneumothorax or secondary infections may occur, which may even be life-threatening in serious cases. Surgery is needed to remove the pulmonary herpes completely to avoid the above situations. The prognosis of pulmonary blisters is better after active treatment, therefore, it is recommended that once diagnosed with pulmonary blisters, patients should actively seek medical treatment, and professional physicians should decide the later treatment mode by combining the imaging examination and their own symptoms, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
