There are two types of hearing loss in children: congenital and acquired. Whether or not a child’s hearing loss can be cured on its own needs to be analyzed in the context of the specific cause of the disease. Children with hearing loss caused by congenital factors, such as parental genetics, infections during pregnancy, and developmental defects, cannot be cured on their own. Surgery and hearing aids are usually needed to improve their quality of life, and it is unlikely that they will be completely cured after treatment. Hearing loss caused by acquired factors, such as trauma and inflammation, can be cured through surgery, antibiotics and other medications under the guidance of a doctor. If you find that your child has a hearing impairment, it is important that you seek medical attention to cure the condition without delay. Also be careful not to give children too much pulling out of the ear to cause puncture of the eardrum, do not give children unauthorized use of streptomycin and gentamicin, which are ototoxic antibiotics.
