Herpes simplex virus type I

Patient: Description (time of onset, main symptoms, hospital visited, etc.): Herpes simplex virus was detected during a medical checkup half a month ago, when the checkup was in time for a mouth ulcer, and almost a week later, red bumps appeared sporadically on both arms, with multiple small blisters on top of the bumps, not knowing if this was a manifestation of herpes simplex virus, and it was itchy. I went to the hospital and was given a box of ointment, but I was still a little scared because I wanted to have a baby and didn’t know if it would affect the next generation. I’ve put on some creams. But the effect is not very good. I want to know if this is very serious, will it affect me to have a baby, I am now particularly anxious, please Dr. Huang help me analyze, thank you. A: There is no great relationship, herpes simplex is very common, this kind of virus is widely parasitic in the human body, body surface micro injury and close contact as the main way of transmission. The difference between IgM and IgG, which are both types of antibodies, is that IgM is produced early and disappears quickly, usually lasting about 3 months, and can represent the patient’s recent (within 3 months) infection; IgG is maintained for a relatively long time, usually several months or years. Therefore, a positive IgM indicates a current infection; a positive IgG indicates a previous infection for which antibodies are now present. Herpes virus type I occurs mainly in the oral cavity and other areas, and herpes virus type II occurs mainly in the genital organs and other areas. It is possible to get pregnant and have a child if both couples have the herpes virus, but it is recommended that you do not choose to get pregnant during a herpes virus attack. Therefore, pregnant women with a history of genital herpes should go to the prenatal diagnosis department of a regular hospital for eugenics consultation and appropriate tests before planning to get pregnant, so as not to affect the development of the fetus; at the end of pregnancy, they should be tested again for herpes virus type II PCR, and those who are positive should choose to have a cesarean section during delivery, so as not to infect the newborn through the birth canal and threaten the health and life of the newborn. If herpes recurs during pregnancy, please go to a regular hospital immediately and use medication under the guidance of a doctor. Patients should improve their immune system through adequate nutrition, rest, physical exercise and diet to prevent the recurrence of herpes virus.
