If eczema occurs in a 10-year-old child, the treatment is mainly topical medication. If topical medication is not effective or the rash is large, it can be combined with oral medication. If there is exudation, topical saline or boric acid solution is recommended for wet compresses. If there is a combination of infection, furacilin solution or Revnor solution is recommended for wet compresses, and zinc oxide oil is given for topical application after the exudation is reduced. After the rash is completely dry, glucocorticoid creams can be given topically, such as weak dinaide cream, hydrocortisone cream, etc. It is better to choose butalbital hydroxyacid cream without glucocorticoid for topical application on the face. If symptoms are severe and oral medications are needed, loratadine syrup with cetirizine syrup can be given orally. If loratadine syrup is taken orally and does not suppress the condition, the more potent desloratadine can be given orally.
