Poria Bai Zhu San does not treat dampness-heat in the lower Jiao (dampness and heat evils invading the intestines, bladder, pubic area, lower limbs, etc.). Poria Bai Zhu San is composed of talcum, gypsum, licorice and cinnamon sticks. In the formula, talc and zedoary have the efficacy of clearing heat and inducing diuresis; cold water stone has the efficacy of clearing heat; gypsum has the efficacy of clearing heat and removing vexation and quenching thirst; licorice can benefit the qi and tonify the middle, and harmonize all the medicines (harmonize the properties of different traditional Chinese medicines); Atractylodes macrocephala and Poria can induce diuresis; and cinnamon stick has the efficacy of warming the meridians, and promoting the passage of yang to transform qi. Poria Atractylodis Macrocephalae has the effects of seeping dampness and inducing diuresis, strengthening the spleen and stomach (restoring the functions of the spleen and stomach), and calming the mind and tranquilizing the spirit, and is used in cholera, vomiting and diarrhea, and irritable thirst and other diseases. The adverse reactions, contraindications and precautions of Poria Baijusan are not clear at present. From the efficacy and action of this product, Poria Baijusan does not have the effect of treating dampness-heat in the lower Jiao, if there is a need for the treatment of dampness-heat in the lower Jiao, it can be treated by taking such as Longdian Diarrhea Liver Pill and Guanchi San under the guidance of a doctor. If there is a need for medication, it should be used under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be used blindly, so as not to cause adverse effects on the body.
