If hemiplegic patients are not properly cared for in the early stages, they may develop pronation of the foot, mainly due to contracture of the Achilles tendon. Our training is mainly to stretch the Achilles tendon, including stretching the Achilles tendon under knee extension and knee flexion. In addition, foot braces can be worn to prevent pronation and to treat pronation. In the case of a mild case of pronation, the results can be seen with rehabilitation exercises. However, in more severe cases, the patient needs to seek medical attention and continue with the rehabilitation exercises, otherwise the patient will have difficulty in moving the center of gravity.
