The severity of neck nodules depends on the location and nature of the nodule. Neck nodules can be categorized into thyroid, rheumatic and other categories.
1. Thyroid category: Thyroid nodules, if the nodules are multiple, are more likely to be benign. If the nodule is solitary, it may be a malignant tumor. The former can be dealt with by internal medicine, while the latter is of high severity and high risk and requires surgical treatment.
2. Rheumatoid nodules: rheumatoid nodules and rheumatoid nodules can be seen in this kind of diseases. The severity is lower than that of tumors, but still need to pay attention. This kind of disease is often accompanied by joint symptoms.
3. Others: There are many types of these diseases, including multiple lymphadenitis in other parts of the neck, lymph node hyperplasia, or inflammatory reactions such as tuberculosis. It can also be multiple neurofibromas. All of these diseases are less severe than malignant tumors.
