Lower Jiao Damp-Heat in men usually manifests with a series of symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, painful urination, abdominal distension, scrotal dampness, spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation, drenching of urine, and loose, sticky stools.
Lesions in the bladder are characterized by inability to pass urine, thirst but not drinking much water. The lesion in the large intestine is characterized by inability to pass stool, hardness and fullness of the abdomen, and refusal to be pressed. If the dampness and turbidity goes up to the heart orifices, head distension, unclear mind, or even delirium may occur. It may be accompanied by abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite, and loose stools.
Lower Jiao Damp-Heat can be divided into two types: Dampness over Heat and Heat over Dampness.
