Incidental blood in the stool is what we call a positive fecal occult blood finding during a routine stool test.
There are two general types of positive occult blood in the stool. The first is that you can visually see bleeding in the digestive tract, which means there is blood in the stool. The first is that you can see the blood in your stool. For example, bleeding peptic ulcers, bleeding colon and rectal tumors and even bleeding hemorrhoids can cause this.
The second possibility is that blood is not visible to the naked eye in the stool. But when lab tests are done, they find occult blood in the stool. This type of disease is not indicative of a digestive tract with a lot of bleeding though. The first of these is that the patient has a small amount of blood in the stool, which can be reflected in a positive fecal occult blood.
We are in daily life. If you find positive fecal occult blood, you should go to the hospital early.
