Where does endometrial cancer metastasize

Endometrial cancer can metastasize to organs throughout the body, and the common sites of metastasis are the fallopian tubes, cervical canal, vagina as well as organs such as liver and lungs.
Most endometrial cancers grow slowly and the lesions can still be confined to the uterine cavity within 1~2 years. Some special pathological types develop faster and may metastasize within a short period of time, while endometrial cancers may metastasize to the fallopian tubes, cervical tubes, vagina, and even to organs of the whole body through various ways, and the more common sites are the liver, lungs and other parts of the body.
In the early stage, endometrial cancer lesions may spread and grow along the endometrium, upward along the uterine horn to the fallopian tubes, downward to the cervical tubes and vagina; in the advanced stage, endometrial cancer patients may reach the organs of the whole body through hematogenous metastasis, and the more common parts of the body are the lungs and the liver, and so on.
Once endometrial cancer metastasis occurs, the treatment effect is not very satisfactory, therefore, patients are advised to actively cooperate with doctors’ treatment plan and do good review and monitoring, so as to avoid metastasis, which will lead to adverse effects.
