What is bad breath in advanced lung cancer?

Halitosis in advanced stage of lung cancer is mainly caused by tumor tissue necrosis and anaerobic bacteria infection, which requires good anti-cancer and anti-infection treatment.
1. Tumor tissue necrosis: in late stage, when the tumor at the primary lesion site and the metastatic tumor in digestive tract are large in size, the central part will be prone to ischemia and hypoxia, and then necrosis and corruption will emit foul smell, which will lead to halitosis phenomenon. For this case, local and systemic radiotherapy and chemotherapy are mainly adopted.
2. Anaerobic bacterial infection: some patients with advanced lung cancer may have anaerobic bacterial infection, which will produce a lot of secretion and cause bad breath. Antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, enrofloxacin and so on need to be used for treatment, and if there is fever, acetaminophen should be taken to reduce the fever.
