Husband responsible for wife’s miscarriage?

Habitual miscarriage is a common gynecological disorder that affects many women, and it often breaks the “motherhood dream” of those mothers-to-be and is of great concern to patients. The common reasons for its occurrence are endocrine factors, infection, immune factors, genetic factors and anatomical factors of the reproductive tract, etc. When people are concerned about habitual abortion, they may only pay attention to the causes on the part of the wife, but ignore the important role played by the husband in this disease. The male factor is an important cause of habitual abortion because one-half of the embryo’s genomic material comes from the father, and the male factor can include the sperm factor, the husband’s age factor, chromosomal abnormalities and some confounding factors. Among the sperm factors, the quality of sperm is extremely important, and when the husband has low quality semen, it can often lead to difficulties in conception, increased miscarriage rates and the risk of genetic abnormalities in the wife. Tests have shown that differences in sperm quality have a direct impact on embryonic development and blastocyst implantation. The age of the husband is also a factor in habitual miscarriage. As the husband ages, not only does the chance of sperm mutation increase, but also the quality of sperm, especially the viability of sperm, tends to decrease, thus decreasing the chance of conception and increasing the incidence of miscarriage, birth defects and fetal death. Studies have shown that fathers older than thirty-five years of age have an increased chance of fetal miscarriage. Some other confounding factors, such as atmospheric pollution, environmental factors, drugs, alcohol and tobacco stimulation and ionizing radiation, can also have an impact on the husband’s sperm quality. Therefore, we would like to remind those men who are planning to be fathers to be prepared to be fathers before their wives get pregnant and not to fight unprepared battles. First of all, it is necessary to exclude some diseases of their own, stop using some drugs that have an impact on conception, and pay attention to exercise, develop good habits, quit smoking and drinking, pay attention to the rational application of nutrients, and undergo professional examinations in male medicine when necessary. You should not slow down the pace of fatherhood because you are busy with your work and career, and you will not be able to fulfill your dream of fatherhood when your career is successful. So that you can plan ahead and make the necessary preparations to have a healthy and smart baby.
