Sore throat is not necessarily due to novel coronavirus pneumonia. The clinical symptoms of sore throat are not specific, that is, there are many diseases that can cause sore throat, such as common cold, acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis, and throat ulcers, all of which can cause sore throat. Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia is a respiratory infectious disease caused by Novel Coronavirus infection. Although some patients may also present with sore throat, the main clinical symptoms are fever, dry cough, and malaise, not sore throat, which means that there is no necessary relationship between sore throat and Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia. Therefore, when there is an epidemiologic history of sore throat, nucleic acid testing and lung CT can be performed to rule it out.
