What’s with the yellow patches in the eyes?

Yellow patches inside the eyes are usually caused by blepharospasm or conjunctival nevus. Blepharospasm is usually caused by conjunctival degeneration due to aging factors, and is more common in middle-aged and elderly people. Blepharospasm is mostly located in the corner of the eyes of the patients, and is yellow in color, and usually slightly protrudes from the surface of conjunctival tissues. Conjunctival pigmented nevus is usually caused by congenital developmental abnormality, which may have existed when the patient was born, but as the patient grows older, the area of the pigmented nevus may gradually expand and the color may deepen. Both conjunctival nevus pigmentosus and blepharospasm can affect the patient’s appearance and can be removed through cosmetic ophthalmic plastic surgery treatment. It is recommended that patients with yellow patches in the eyes seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow their doctor’s instructions for treatment.
