How to treat male pattern baldness

Hair loss is a very important part of a modern person’s image, and starting to lose hair at a young age is really the biggest damage to your image, and a great blow to your self-confidence, and can even affect your career, marriage, and personal future. Although hair loss is not physically painful, the mental stress and pain is unbearable. In today’s highly competitive society, hair loss is a very distressing issue for men, especially young men. I saw a male alopecia patient, 24 years old, in September 2011. The patient’s hair loss was moderate, and hair thinning occurred during his service in the Zhejiang Navy between 2006 and 2008. He had been seen in a military hospital, but the military doctor failed to give a good treatment plan. After demobilization from the army, he became a driver of the subway company. He has an easy-going personality and usually likes to stay at home, and is a typical geek. Since he was going to get married at the end of next year, he wanted to change the status quo that his hair appeared to be thin. The patient has no history of scalp trauma, and his parents’ immediate relatives have hair loss. The patient had used minoxidil spray, but the effect was not obvious, so he came to see the doctor. Close observation showed that the patient’s hair was greasy with dandruff, and the hairline at both corners of the forehead was receding into an M-shape, and the scalp was visible. There were no trauma scars or inflammatory manifestations on the scalp. Based on the patient’s clinical manifestations (almost complete hair loss on the forehead) and past history, the diagnosis of male pattern alopecia, grade IV, was considered, and if no systematic and standardized treatment was given, the hair loss would become increasingly serious or even irreversible. Therefore, I administered oral medication, also known as finasteride, for her condition. The treatment was 1 mg once a day and a hair transplant was performed. Finasteride (trade name: Propecia) is a very effective oral treatment for male pattern baldness. It stops the alpha reductase enzyme in the scalp from turning testosterone into dihydrotestosterone, which directly stops the microscopic hair follicles from the source, and therefore directly stops the process of hair loss, so it is an allopathic drug. Hair transplantation can increase the number of localized hairs in a short period of time and get a more intuitive improvement. At the same time, it is very necessary to take Bofarzil after hair transplantation, which is one of the most aggressive treatment options. The majority of the patients had a good clinical performance after taking Bofarzil, which not only maintains the existing hair volume and promotes the growth of new hair, but also accelerates the growth rate and thickens the diameter of the hair, thus achieving a more desirable result. This patient showed remarkable results within 6 months of taking the drug. Not only did new hair grow out, but there was a lot of it, and it was obviously thicker and thicker than the previous hair, and the overall hairstyle of the forehead showed a three-dimensional look. The patient himself, as well as his family, friends and relatives, felt that the patient’s condition had improved significantly from the initial visit to the doctor. The patient himself is very persistent in his continued treatment and seems very confident in the cure. His friends around him also say that he can now be the center of attention at his wedding, a very handsome groom. This shows that the key to treating male pattern baldness is early detection and early treatment. The patient was advised to maintain his original regimen and persevere with it in order to obtain greater improvement in hair loss. As a dermatology hair loss clinic doctor, we caution that hair loss is actually a progressive disease, and once hair loss occurs, remember to seek treatment from a regular hair specialist at a regular hospital, and don’t ever rush to a doctor and miss the best time for treatment. In addition, there are often hair loss patients will ask in the process of treatment of hair loss in addition to conventional treatment, in the diet there is no need to pay special attention to what, here and again to emphasize that there are no dietary requirements, many patients are seeking what kind of diet is good for the hair, in fact, not a single diet is good for the hair, is that we need a balanced diet, balanced nutrition, all the necessary The only way to have a healthy body and healthy hair is to have all the necessary nutrients, not just a certain thing to make him grow good hair.
