Overview of resting hair loss

  I. Notes
Humans normally have no synchronous hair loss cycle, but rather individual hairs go into resting phase asynchronously, when new hairs start to grow and old hairs fall out.
  II. Concept
The normal hair is stimulated by certain factors that cause the anagen hairs to enter the resting phase in a short period of time. Hair loss is progressive, with more than 100 hairs lost per day, diffuse hair loss, thinning of hair, but rarely affects more than 50% of the hairs.
  Three, the cause
1, endocrine changes, such as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, before and after menopause, 95% of postpartum women (prolonged labor and difficult delivery).
2, drugs (only list drugs that cause resting hair loss greater than 1% chance), such as antidepressants, angiotensinase converters, anti mitotic drugs (dose-dependent), beta-blockers, lithium, oral contraceptives, retinoids, valproic acid, heparin, heparin-like drugs, warfarin and too much vitamin A.
  3.High fever.
4.Malnutrition, including low or lack of intake of calories, protein, essential fatty acids, zinc, biotin and iron.
  5.Blood loss.
  6.Shock.
8, somatic stress conditions such as anemia, systemic diseases, surgical procedures and mental stress, etc.
  IV. Clinical manifestations
  Diffuse hair loss.
Light hair pulling test may be positive. The proximal end of the hair is rod-shaped (pestle-like hair) under electron microscopy.
  V. Histopathology
The ratio of anagen/resting phase on the hair is reduced, and the number of resting phase hair is greatly increased.
  VI. Treatment
  (A) General treatment
1.Search for the cause and treat the cause.
  2.Psychological guidance.
3.Eat more black food and nuts.
  (B) Drug treatment (omitted)
Chinese and western medicine treatment, Chinese medicine is the main.
