Diarrhea without vomiting is not a good way to confirm cholera.
Cholera is a virulent intestinal infectious disease caused by Vibrio cholerae infection, it is a national category A infectious disease, very harmful, the main transmission route is fecal-oral transmission, due to strict control, the incidence rate of cholera in China is extremely low, common symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, etc. Just by looking at the performance of diarrhea but not vomiting, it is not possible to confirm whether it is cholera or not.
To confirm whether it is cholera or not, patients with diarrhea need to take feces as samples for culture of pathogenic microorganisms and microscopic examination after culture, which shows that feces culture is positive for Vibrio cholerae can be confirmed as cholera, and feces culture is negative for Vibrio cholerae, which indicates that it is not cholera, and it may be caused by other reasons of diarrhea.
If you have diarrhea without vomiting, or if your symptoms continue without improvement, you should go to the hospital for treatment.
