Tibial plateau deformity during the growth period can be treated by wearing a brace; for tibial plateau deformity when the epiphysis has closed or due to trauma or disease, surgical treatment is required. Tibial plateau valgus is a deformity caused by abnormal development of the proximal tibia and osteoarthritis. The diagnosis of this disease is based on the measurement of the tibial plateau inversion angle, which is defined as a valgus deformity when the angle is <9°. In the case of valgus deformity due to proximal tibial dysplasia, if the epiphysis has not yet closed, the deformity can be corrected by wearing an orthopedic knee brace and undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of a specialized physician. For tibial plateau valgus deformity caused by osteoarthritis or adult developmental abnormality, it can be corrected by knee osteotomy and arthrodesis. Rehabilitation is required after surgery. For tibial plateau valgus deformity, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time.
