Can ultrasound show endometrial cancer?

Color ultrasound can show the abnormal shape of the endometrium, but it cannot confirm the diagnosis of endometrial cancer.
Endometrial cancer is an epithelial malignant tumor of the endometrium, which can be examined by color ultrasound. Color ultrasound can find out the size of the uterus, the morphology of the uterine cavity, and also the thickness of the endometrium, and also observe the morphology of the endometrium and the blood flow.
If the endometrium is thick, or if there is an uneven echo area in the uterine cavity, the possibility of endometrial cancer is considered, but the diagnosis cannot be confirmed.
If endometrial cancer is suspected by ultrasonography, diagnostic curettage is needed, which is the basis for confirming the diagnosis of endometrial cancer, and the contents of the curettage can be examined pathologically to clarify the diagnosis.
The result of ultrasound alone cannot accurately determine whether it is endometrial cancer or not, but needs to be combined with the characteristics of medical history and other examination results to make an accurate judgment, and it is recommended to clarify the cause of the disease under the guidance of the doctor.
