What is the test for anemia?

The average hemoglobin concentration, or HGB for short, is included in the routine blood test to test for anemia, and the World Health Organization states that anemia is diagnosed based on the HGB value. The normal index varies by age and gender. In adult women, for example, HGB of 115-150g/L is normal. The routine blood test also includes red blood cell count, abbreviated as RBC, with a reference range of (3.80-5.10) x 10^12/L, red blood cell pressure, abbreviated as HCT, with a normal value of 35%-45%, and mean red blood cell volume, abbreviated as MCV, with a normal value of 82-100FL.
