Burdock Root Effects and Contraindications

Burdock root is effective in dispelling wind-heat and subduing swellings and toxins. It is contraindicated in cases of wind-cold syndrome and cold deficiency. Burdock root is the root of burdock, family Asteraceae, bitter, slightly sweet, non-toxic, cool, into the lung, heart meridian.
