What to do about coronal ulcers

If there is an ulcer at the coronal sulcus, glansitis is considered, which may be caused by bacterial infection, or fungal or trichomonas infection, both of which may appear at the glans. Treatment suggestions: 1. Local external washing. You can use diluted potassium permanganate solution for cleaning, wipe dry locally after cleaning and keep dry. If you are diagnosed with an ulcer on the coronal sulcus of the glans head due to Candida albicans infection, it is recommended to use sodium bicarbonate solution for cleaning. 2. Apply topical or oral antibiotic medication for treatment. The bacterial infection can appear as local ulcers and erosions with bad odor, it is recommended to use Bactrim ointment or erythromycin ointment for topical application. Cefixime capsules can also be taken orally twice daily for treatment. If the fungal or trichomonas infection causes except ulcers, it may also be accompanied by cheese-like discharge or local glans erythema. Topical miconazole is recommended for fungal infections and should be applied topically 2-3 times daily for one week. Trichomonas infection is recommended to use metronidazole solution for topical cleaning followed by one oral metronidazole tablet three times a day for 5-7 days.
