If the rapidity of the fetal heart rate exceeds 170 and returns to normal soon after, no special treatment is usually required. If it persists, the cause needs to be clarified and treated symptomatically.
The normal range of fetal heart rate is 110~160 beats per minute. If the fetal heart rate reaches 170 beats per minute occasionally, it may be related to the pregnant woman’s activities, eating and other factors, usually for a short period of time, and will soon return to normal, without special treatment.
If the fetal heart rate stays around 170 beats per minute, the pregnant woman needs to do fetal heart monitoring in time and moderate the accelerated fetal heart rate through oxygen inhalation. At the same time, she should strengthen the rest and closely observe the fetal heart rate to see if it returns to normal. Do abdominal ultrasound and blood test to clarify the cause of fetal tachycardia, and treat the symptoms, and terminate the pregnancy promptly if necessary.
