Can I have intercourse with my vulvar leukoplakia?

Intercourse is not recommended in vulvar leukoplakia and may lead to adverse consequences such as vulvar laceration, vulvar pain and vaginitis.

Vulvar leukoplakia is a disease of female vulvar skin and mucous membrane nutritional disorders resulting in tissue deformation as well as pigmentation changes. It often manifests as vulvar itching, skin mucosa atrophy, thinning, loss of elasticity, localized burning, pain and so on.

If a woman has coitus with vulvar leukoplakia, the thinning and loss of elasticity of the vulvar skin may lead to vulvar pain and discomfort during coitus, and in serious cases, it may also lead to vulvar laceration and vaginitis, and so on.

If a woman has vulvar leukoplakia, she should go to the hospital in time, complete the relevant examination, clarify the cause of the disease under the guidance of the doctor, and treat the symptoms. During the treatment, keep the perineal skin clean and dry, and maintain a pleasant mood to promote the alleviation of the condition.
