Are microscopic lung nodules serious?

Lung micronodules are commonly found in old lesions, lung infections, tuberculosis, etc. Through observation and regular treatment when necessary, they can be cured and are usually not serious; if no attention is paid to them, the nodules may gradually increase with the development of the disease, or even malignant tumors may appear, which makes the condition relatively more serious.
Lung micronodules generally refer to nodules with a diameter of less than 4mm. Micronodules may be old lesions, which are usually not serious and can be observed and reviewed.
Micro nodules may also be caused by lung infection, tuberculosis, benign lung tumors and other diseases, which require timely consultation, identification of the cause of the disease, and formal and effective treatment, which can control the condition or achieve a cure, and relatively speaking, is not serious.
However, if the patient does not pay enough attention to the presence of micronodules in the lungs, and does not treat them or correct their bad lifestyle, the nodules may gradually increase in size as the disease progresses, compressing the surrounding tissues and making treatment more difficult.
When diagnosed with micronodules, patients should consult their doctors to find out the cause of the problem and deal with it proactively.
