Many patients are concerned about whether their own chances of developing psoriasis will increase if their parents have psoriasis. The literature reports a family history of psoriasis in 4.4-9% of cases, and in China it is reported to be around 11-20%. The incidence of concordance is higher in monozygotic twins than in dizygotic twins. It has been reported that 11.9% of children with normal parents have the disease; 18.4% of children with one parent have the disease; and 70% of children with both parents have the disease, with early onset and severe disease. The mode of inheritance is autosomal dominant with incomplete episomes or autosomal recessive. Therefore, if you have a family history of psoriasis, please pay attention to your emotions, relax, avoid catching a cold, and if there are abnormal changes in your skin, please seek medical attention and get diagnosed and treated as soon as possible.
