Is basal cell carcinoma fatal?

Although basal cell carcinoma is malignant, it is generally not fatal. Because the cancer cells of this disease seldom metastasize, the cancer cells do not metastasize, but only in the primary site, which can be accompanied by different degrees of local infiltration. Basal cell carcinoma can be cured if it can be cut in time and removed cleanly. Only when the basal cell carcinoma keeps infiltrating and growing downward and reaches the bone or cartilage area, metastasis may occur. Therefore, early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment are very crucial. As long as the disease develops at the early stage, timely surgical resection can cure it.
