How Nilotinib capsules work

Nilotinib capsules are second-generation complex kinase inhibitors that are used clinically in the treatment of patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic granulocytic leukemia. In general, patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic granulocytic leukemia are preferred to be treated with imatinib mesylate, but after 3 months of treatment with imatinib mesylate, if the patient’s hematology is not in remission and the patient’s cytogenetics is not in complete remission after 6 months of treatment, this situation is primary drug resistance and generally requires treatment with nilotinib capsules. The chances of achieving complete remission are significantly increased in patients with drug-resistant chronic granulocytic leukemia. The non-hematological side effects include headache, nausea, loss of appetite, tissue edema, etc. The hematological toxicity is mainly due to myelosuppressive effects, thrombocytopenia, anemia, etc. Non-hematological side effects include pain, nausea, decreased appetite, tissue edema, etc.
