Symptoms of stage IV cervical cancer mainly include vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge and metastatic symptoms. Stage IV of cervical cancer is advanced stage, which means the tumor is beyond the range of true pelvis; invades the mucosa of bladder or rectum; and occurs distant metastasis. 1. Vaginal bleeding: often bleeding after sexual life or gynecological examination contact. Some patients may also show irregular vaginal bleeding or increased menstrual flow. The amount of bleeding is related to the type and size of the tumor. 2. Vaginal discharge: most patients may have white or bloody, thin, fishy-smelling vaginal discharge like water or rice slop. In the advanced stage, it is often a large amount of rice slop or purulent foul-smelling leukorrhea. 3. Metastatic symptoms: Involvement of the bladder, rectum and other neighboring organs, often with frequent urination, urinary urgency, constipation, blood in the stool and other symptoms. Lung metastasis is often characterized by coughing and sputum. Systemic symptoms such as anemia and cachexia may also appear. Stage IV cervical cancer suggests patients to consult doctor in time and carry out individualized treatment under doctor’s guidance in order to prolong the survival period and improve the quality of life.
