A high alkaline phosphatase value of 200 U/L or more is usually abnormal and may be due to poor diet, cirrhosis of the liver, and other factors. Normal values of alkaline phosphatase range from 45U/L to 125U/L for men and 50U/L to 135U/L for women, and a high alkaline phosphatase value of 200U/L is abnormal. Physiologic factors include the increased secretion of alkaline phosphatase in adolescent or pregnant women after consuming excessive protein-rich foods, resulting in high alkaline phosphatase. Pathological factors include patients with diseases such as cirrhosis, rickets, and malignant tumors. When patients have high alkaline phosphatase of more than 200U/L, they should go to the hospital for examination in time to clarify the cause of the disease and actively treat it.
