Kidney yin deficiency or kidney yang deficiency may have tinnitus symptoms, and cold hands and feet are mostly seen in kidney yang deficiency, the specific yin or yang deficiency need to be further clarified by the physician in conjunction with the patient’s symptoms and signs, tongue and pulse.
1. Kidney yin deficiency: the main manifestations are five heart-heat (two hearts and two feet heart heat, and consciously heart and chest heat), hot flashes (a burst of heat), night sweats (after going to sleep sweating abnormally, waking up sweating to stop), lumbar and knee pain, dizziness, tinnitus, insomnia and dreaming, men’s spermatorrhea, women menstruation or amenorrhea, and so on. Commonly used prescriptions are: Zuo Gui Pill, Liu Wei Di Huang Tang, Da Zhen Yin Pill, and so on.
2. Kidney yang deficiency: mainly manifested as lumbar and knee soreness and weakness (the feeling of lumbar and knee soreness and weakness), impotence, premature ejaculation, uterine cold and infertility, loss of libido, pale color, fear of cold, warmth of the limbs, depression, etc. Commonly used prescriptions include: Right Angelica Pill, Golden Chamber Kidney Qi Pill, Lumbago Tablet, Gui Velvet Antler Solid Pill and so on.
